The Atomic Bomb and the Garden of Eden

The Atomic Bomb and the Garden of Eden: The two events are expressive each of the other. Consider: the Rib account closes with “god”—the most powerful power of all, the Creator!—lambasting humans and sending an angel with a Fiery Sword to cast them out into exile on the dirtball called Earth. As the later Christian tradition interprets this event, humans must realize that they are despicable, corrupt, evil, drenched in sin—pieces of shit. More, there is nothing that they can do, individually or collectively, to make amends and reconcile with their god. Their nature is “fallen” and they must be “saved” or else they are doomed to eternal hellfire.

On its own terms, the Abrahamic Big Story could not imagine the Atomic Bomb. No Abrahamic would consider that he could save himself. Only his most powerful god could do so (and did so, as they state, by sending his only begotten son to die in our stead and so effect redemption).

As the Secular and Scientism Big Stories evolve and develop, humans see themselves as messianic. Both secularists and scientismists feel confident that they can solve all human problems, just given enough time.

In time, the military gathers together followers of all three Big Stories, places them within the special “garden” of the Manhattan Project where they, collectively and communally, creatively imagine the Big Story of the Warrior’s Quest. In doing so, their Stories become part of the Warrior’s Quest past. Much like the vaunted caterpillar emerging from the chrysalis—the Warrior’s Quest takes wing! Flies over Hiroshima and …transforms the Earth and all life on Earth through nuclear domination.

Sensually immerse yourself beholding the images of the Mushroom Cloud and Earthrise.

The Earth now is a nuclear garden wherein the Lone Male Warrior’s Quester reigns supreme.

Continue—Abrahamic
