Sacred SexualitySacred Sexuality. Speak it out loud. Voice it, again - SHOUT! … Hearing it, are you embarrassed? Frightened? Abhorred? Agitated? Enticed?… There come phrases which mark an historic period. Sacred Sexuality marks this new millennium. As such, it means many things to many people. Friar Killian's Confessional sounds the many, varied, contradictory, fearsome and numinous meanings - as you are present to the birth of a new imagining. If this is a "new" imagining, what is the "old"? It is the imagining of The Book. The Biblical Tradition with its Eros expressed through The Warrior's Saga. It is a Tradition which sanctions a singular erotic act. Namely, genital coupling for procreation. At its base it is masturbatory, since there are no goddesses, and women are war booty - used solely as "tubes" for creation of sons. Biblical Eros and Warrior Sexuality are homoerotic. The penis is the sacral totem. It is a very weird, crippled and tortured expression of maleness. Sacred Sexuality references The Lone Male as an image of interpretation. While Biblical Eros is dominant throughout the world, all major religions are variants on The Warrior's Saga and express a kindred Eros. Sacred Sexuality puts aside this Biblical Tradition and all patriarchal variants. While there is a mythic place for the warrior, it plays a minor role in Sacred Sexuality. Everyone is Chosen. Everyone is embraced. Everyone is sought as a Beloved. This is what is "new." Imagining everyone as Beloved.
